February 11th and 12th, the Deer Lake Gallery will be full of romance as we share songs all about loves highs and lows! This intimate art gallery turned performance venue is the perfect romantic venue for your valentines date! Our bar will feature local beverages and delicious snacs.
Bring a date or make it a girls night to be entertained by our talented vocalists. These amazing performers will share romantic tunes sure to tug at your heartstrings interspersed with funny anecdotes!

Blake Sartin (He/Him) - Vocalist
Blake Sartin is a Singer/Dancer/Actor based in Vancouver and is excited to be working on this awesome project. Since graduating from Capilano University's Musical Theatre diploma program, Blake has gotten to perform in amazing shows such as "Singing in the Rain" (Royal City Musical Theatre), and "42nd Street" (Theatre Under the Stars). Hannah Myers (She/Her) - Vocalist
Hannah Myers is thrilled to be taking part in the Valentine’s Day Cabaret. A professional actor, singer, and textile artist, she also spends her time streaming on Twitch (@RonnyWeebsley). This is her first time working with Painted Fern Productions, and she would like to thank Sara, Emily, and the rest of the cast for welcoming her with open arms. A veteran of multiple stage and film productions across BC and Alberta, this Grant MacEwan graduate hopes you kick back, relax, and enjoy a show of laughter, heartbreak, and stellar musical talent!

Tainui Kuru (He/Him) - Vocalist
Tainui is an actor, singer, dancer from New Zealand. He has a degree in Music Theatre from the National Academy of Singing and Dramatic Art in New Zealand, earning the degree prize for outstanding achievement and commitment to studies.
For the past 10 years, Tainui has performed in Musicals and bands in New Zealand, Australia, England, Scotland, USA, Japan and China. You can catch him in the current tour of ‘Relive the Music: Rock n Roll Hits of the 50’s and 60’s’ and will be touring to theatres throughout Ontario next month in ‘Music of the Night’ with Sound the Alarm Theatre Company. Veronica Bonderund (She/Her) - Vocalist
Veronica was born and raised in Victoria BC, and is a graduate of the Canadian College of Performing Arts where she studied dancing, acting and singing at the professional level for 2 years. She then moved to Vancouver to continue with acting for theatre and film/TV with acting coach Andrew McIlroy. Since living in Vancouver she has worked on countless film sets and on many stages. This is Veronica’s first time working with Painted Fern Productions, and she could not be more excited! @veronicabonderud, @veronicabonderudphoto
Sara Mayfield (She/Her) - Director/Producer/Tech
Sara is delighted to be a part of the team creating the perfect romantic atmosphere! Recent projects include Betty Haynes in White Christmas (Theatre in The Country), director/writer/producer of The Girl Next Door, A new queer Canadian pop/rock musical (Painted Fern Productions), and her work as a cast member and producer on Tabletop Tiddies, a queer and feminist TTRPG podcast and stream. Emily Matchette (Any) - Producer
Emily is a queer theatre artist residing on the traditional, ancestral and unceded territory of the kʷikʷəƛ̓əm (Kwikwetlem First Nation). A graduate of the Musical Theatre program at Capilano University, and the Bachelor of Performing Arts Program at Douglas College, Emily teaches dance and musical theatre at the Lindbjerg Academy of Performing Arts to students ages two to fifty plus. Select performing credits include: Gertrude in Seussical! (Align Entertainment), Ensemble in Mamma Mia (Arts Club Theatre Company), Millie Dillmount in Thoroughly Modern Millie (Exit 22), and Lou Ann in Hairspray (Theatre Under The Stars).
